Flavours of Spain Brunch

Chorizo al vino, Gazpacho, Iberico Bellota croquettes.. a Spanish affair

Last weekend we had the pleasure of being invited to the Flavours of Spain brunch held in Islington. Founded in 2006 by Spanish-English team Ana Caballero and Teresa Holmes, award winners due to the quality of their produce with an intimate knowledge of Spain’s gastronomy they source some of Spain’s most prized foods and ingredients.

Sourced directly from artisan producers and family-run businesses, where the emphasis is on seasonality, sustainability and organic production methods. They also work with some of the UK’s best restaurants and chefs.

I was super excited to try out their fresh food at their brunch, as expectations were high but they never failed to meet them.

We were seated in a lovely setting, with about 12 around the table, greeted with strawberyy mojitos, freshly made, with spruces of mint & strawberry pulp so soothing and refreshing.

Here is the menu we indulged in for over 2-3 hours, beautiful tapas style dishes with sharing platters

Chorizo al vino

The best for last, chorizo al vino, rich wine, unforgettable meat.

The brunch was a fun affair, we were filled up nicely with a great taste of spanish cuisine and a successful showcase their products in some traditional recipes. Let’s hope these talented ladies organise more soon! Check out the Flavours of Spain website here.
