So what food makes ME nostalgic?
I have to say when thinking about this , there were quite a few foodie memories that popped up, most of them come from what my mum used to make when we were younger.
These included turkey burgers with a crisp crumb coating, served with baked beans and good old chips! We used to have that before I tottered off to Girl’s Brigade (ssh don’t tell anyone).
Or remember those Findus crispy pancakes? I can’t remember what they were filled with but I think it was some concoction of cheese and ham!
Corn Beef Sandwiches… need I say more, I probably wouldn’t touch them now.
And I would always remember my mum’s Xmas fruitcake, which I used to watch her make, or her macaroni dish, using sandwich spread & condensed milk!
The list is endless, but what can I say I think that’s where the love of food started with me and It’s funny how my fondest memories are ones of food!
What makes you nostalgic? Enter the competition and let me know what you picked!

Your mention of corned beef sandwiches brought back a memory in that a friend used to refer to them as “blood sandwiches”, because that was what she reckoned they tasted of! I suspect her Mum must’ve been using poor quality corned beef – because mine never tasted like that (or was it the copious amounts of brown pickle that did it?). LOL
